Hi, this is Pippin. Mom and Dad have been changing things in our bedroom and they say they're FINALLY done.
First, some history...
First they added a bench so we could jump on the bed, then they made the wall brown.
As you can see, we used to have an icky green wall and obnoxious gold curtains. Fortunately we're color blind so it wasn't bad for us, but we still kept our eyes closed alot.
Then Mom and Dad brought home a big box, took all the parts out and made a bigger box with doors.
They made a huge mess in the bedroom and alot of noise putting the big box together. We supervised from the bed, where it was safe.
Then they put their clothes in the big wooden box and closed the doors.
Last month we got a new rug so we could jump on and off the bed and bench and not slip on the wood floor. |
Today Mom and Dad brought MORE boxes home and said it was the new bed. I knew it couldn't be, because our bed is flat and alot bigger than that.
Then they started bringing in wood and moving things around in the bedroom.
Now for the scarey part. Every time they change something in the bedroom, they tear it apart and make a big mess and alot of noise.
Here we go again.
I guess they hated the drawers under the bed, cause they took those away and started putting up funny wood panels.
Then they started connecting them together. I made sure Dad knew where to put the metal bar things. He seemed sure he knew what he was doing, but you never know.
As you can see, they piled all the blankets up on the floor in a corner and wouldn't let us lay on them.
Zoe does a quality check.
It didn't look too bad after they were done adding the wood, but the room was still a mess.
Then they put the REAL bed (the part we lay on) down and added the soft blankets we love back on the bed, so it wasn't so bad after all.
Then Zoe jumped on the bed and started testing for comfort.
The rest of us did not trust the 'new bed' yet and were busy sniffing the wood parts. Zoe is braver than we are.
We heard Zoe snoring and figured it was safe to get on the bed again. We jumped up and picked out spots on the bed - we had important business to attend to.
Comfort is a critical part of any redecorating project in our home and we need to have several naps on a new thing to make sure it measures up to our high standards.
So far so good....
Nap #2 is going well, also. We're pretty sure this is going to work out nicely for us.
(Dad is putting away his clothes while we run our nap tests.)
We're about to have our final approval meeting, but while we're here, Luca would like to point out our bench that Mom and Dad got for us. We used to have plastic tubs, which worked, but didn't look so good.
The new bench lets us jump on and off the bed easily. It also gives us something to push each other off of when we're playing, which is nice.
OK, its official. We agree that the new bed and blankets are comfortable enough for us and that we can sleep on this at night.
We're calling this project a success and would like to eat now.
