Lurcher collars are an old
design that is usually seen in leather, but is appearing more often in
fabric and webbing these days. We've had custom requests for
these collars, so we decided to add them to our product line.
These collars are 'made to fit' and are available in a Looped style and
in the Simple Martingale style. The collars are made from soft poly/nylon
webbing base, covered in fabric in the front, edged in rolled
webbing and lined with a double layer of no-pill
fleece for a super soft surface that protects your hounds neck in
comfort.
Simple Martingale
collars are designed to slip over the head and tighten with pressure
from a leash,
like a regular martingale. The difference is that the collar
does
not have a slide for size adjustment.
The loop in the back is large enough to allow the collar to
fit
over your hound's head, but small enough to keep the collar on
comfortably when the leash is loose or your hound is off leash in a
controlled area. These collars can be worn over, or in
addition to, a tag collar.
Limited Slip collars are a variation on the 'limited
slip' concept. The collar tightens as you apply pressure with
the leash, but the increasing width of the collar itself stops the
collar from tightening too far on the hound's neck. The tabs
connecting to the double rings allow the collar to expand enough to fit
over your hound's head comfortably, but small enough to keep the collar
on comfortably when the leash is loose or your hound is off leash in a
controlled area. These collars can be worn over, or in
addition to, a tag collar.
