Gardening - Veggies and Plants for 2010

Gardening - Food

Tiny Greenhouse - the Tomatoes Attack

March 17 - planting day for the tomatoes. Cherry tomatoe seeds are also starting to sprout.

July 22 - it appears that we have a bit of a tomato problem. The potatoes seem happy in their bags.

Seedling cherry tomatoes have gone crazy by August.

Peas in an earthbox

Potatoes in bags

July 22 - Our little garden is trying to look big and scarey. Yes, the peas are 10' tall. We're pretty surprised by the peas and we're going to try 'normal' peas next year. Everything else seems pretty happy with their SIP boxes.

FLOWERS - Strange and Rare

Lady Slippers - Franchetii and Tibeticums

Jack in the Pulpits - big strange looking Ringens starting to open its leaves

Giant Griffithii, bizarre looking Ringens and pretty chocolate and white Sikokianums, ferns and lots of trilliums

Same bed in August. The pointy leaves of the ringens Jack in the Pulpet have opened into HUGE leaves that last all summer.

Strange Plants! Toad Lilies, assorted Podophyllums, lime green moss and Black Mondo Grass

The shed finally has a new flower bed and it doesn't look so messy.

How it used to look - ugh!
