Formed, underglazed, carved and leather hard - time for a week of drying.
 

Dried and fired and ready to add the glass.

   

The glass has been poured into the chanels and is ready for the kiln. Next we fire and fuse the glass onto the plate.


Fired - glass has shrank down a bit.

Done - copper added in the channels for a little bit of flash.

Glass Adventures
 

I took a 'glass blowing experience' class and got to get a feel for blowing glass. I'm taking full classes in September.

Kiln Carved Glass - another class - it sounds alot more serious than it is. Its more like kiln relief - no 'carving' at all. I think I'll add some glass color later on, though.
